Gynecologic infections are are either a group of STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) or a different type of bacterial or fungal contamination of genital tract that disrupts its physiologic colonization. Depending on the overall picture, a probable diagnosis can be made at presentation but there are additional tests available to confirm a certain diagnosis.
We offer in-office testing for any type of gynecologic infections. Should you require blood testing, genital cultures or microscopic evaluation of the abnormal secretions, everything is available at our facility with results provided as early as 48 hours and adequate treatment planning and follow-up. In addition, should the sexual partner require treatment to prevent a “Ping-Pong” reinfection after initial cure, we are able to give the right prescription for him.
