Umbilical hernia repair and other parietal defects can be addressed surgically at the time of other interventions or individually. The problem is common during pregnancy and once is established, it will persist and possible increase throughout the life unless adequate repair is pursued. Sometimes even after correction it can recur.
We perform ventral hernia repair with or without synthetic mesh, concomitantly with gynecologic surgery or independently, through minimally invasive or open approach depending on the size of the defect and associated conditions.
